To help us celebrate Epiphany, (the visitation of the magi to the baby Jesus), Father
Tim dressed up as a camel! He was joined by  madam mayor and  our local councillor
as they led a procession from the local park to The Holy Innocents' church to remind
us of the journey the magi took. We were also joined by drummers, some wise women,
stars, incense and kids dressed up as characters from the Christmas story.
It was a sight to behold!

We also celebrated during the day with activities for all ages, including circus tricks,
sing a long with Ryan, lantern making and drumming. It was a fab day and wonderfiul
to see our church at the heart of the community and the community at the heart of our church.

The Kidderminster West Team is very proud of congregation members Pete and Kathy Jezukiewicz (St Peter’s Church) and Heather Prangley (Holy Innocents’ Church) who were recognised in the September Community Awards Ceremony at Kidderminster Town Hall hosted by Nicky Gale, Mayor of Kidderminster.  They are well-deserved awards, as each of those named makes a great contribution to community life in their areas of Kidderminster.  Well done Pete, Kathy and Heather!
Connect Youth Club

On 3rd October 2017 we re-launched Connect, the youth club that meets at St John’s.  The club meets weekly during term time and offers the children a space to have fun, meet their friends and learn new skills.  They have been competing in space hopper races, painting pet stones, icing cakes, playing table football, making their own display…and we have lots of plans for the future.  We also have a space each week to talk to the children on a theme of faith, and to try and answer their questions about God and the church.  There are usually around 25 children attending and it is loud and lively.  If you think you might be interested in helping (subject to DBS), please get in touch!
